This unframed registered datestamp was in use at Brisbane in the mid-1870s. It consisted of an unframed circle, diameter unknown, reading REGISTERED LETTER OFFICE from the left round the top to the right, BRISBANE at the foot with no stops or other markings in-between. The date was in the centre in two lines, with the month and day over the year in two digits with an indistinct code letter or numeral at the top.
