Single Line Framed Registered handstamps

Three Single Line Framed Registered handstamps are known (Campbell, p. 78-9):
  • Calliope Single Line Framed Registered handstamp (42 x 8 mm) -  rated 3R
  • St George Single Line Framed Registered handstamp on a Sideface (43 x 7.5 mm) -  rated 2R
  • Yaamba Single Line Framed Registered handstamp (44 x 8 mm) -  rated 3R
These three post offices opened in 1864. Campbell speculates that Allora and Sandgate post offices (both opened in 1863 and which do not have the usual small type two-lined registered handstamp issued before 1873) may also have used these Single Line Framed Registered handstamps, probably on Chalons.

I have only so far seen tied examples for Calliope and St George. I have provisionally rated Yaamba as 3R as it does exist, just not seen tied by me. If you have any examples on cover, please email me so I can show them

8mm high examples from my collection. Either Calliope or Yaamba

7.5 mm examples from my collection. Probably St George
