Diamantina Lakes

Diamantina Lakes post office, on the Diamantina River, 83 km north east of Bedourie, opened on 1 January 1885 and was renamed Diamantina sometime in the mid-1890s. It was reduced to a receiving office in June 1903. The original datestamp and registered handstamp remained in use following the change of name
